About the role

STRATEGY

Lead, manage and implement social media strategies and campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients,
working closely with the Head of Creative Development and Head of Strategy and Creative

  • Can develop detailed strategies for specific disciplines e.g. paid, influencer, content

  • Help senior clients to formulate better briefs and tasks and define the true nature of their problem

  • Seen as integral member of the client team "the go to consult"

  • Ensures channel/technology/audience thinking is baked into every creative strategy.



    CONTENT & CREATIVE

  • Can oversee the development of brand / social eco-systems and messaging framework

  • Can oversee and challenge media agencies on plans paid and influencer activations

  • Collaborate and support the social media team to plan and create disruptive social-first content for paid and organic –
    developing ideas, copywriting and design briefing/approval

  • Oversee content calendar planning activity across clients and channels including Facebook, lnstagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and TikTok

  • Lead on the proactive and reactive social media strategy across the client portfolio, looking for ways to join trending conversations or brand opportunities and implement them efficiently & effectively

  • Oversee community management across the client portfolio, ensuring a vigorous approach to strategy, process and roles & responsibilities to ensure maximum impact on ‘brand love’ and ‘customer service’ engagement.

     

    MEASUREMENT

  • Sets up projects for integrated evaluation from the start

  • Contributes to the creation of effectiveness studies

  • Intimately familiar with the different measurement tools and metrics and understands and pros and cons of each

  • Consistently demonstrates effectiveness of campaigns outside of key metrics (influence on society, etc.)

  • Lead and support the team on monthly social media reports to measure the success of social media BAU and campaign performance to both key internal stakeholders and external clients

  • Drive an ongoing optimisation mindset within the social media team to monitor and adapt social media content and campaigns to ensure maximum impact and results


    GROWTH

  • Lead on new business briefs, both standalone social media and integrated, collaborating across the agency to deliver world class,
    disruptive pitch ideas

  • Can structure and lead a winning pitch without support from others

  • Can develop and lead new social strategy product offerings

  • Work with the Head of Growth and Creative Development on prospective client leads, identifying opportunities, facilitating agency introductions, and developing & presenting impactful strategy and insights

  • Maintain regular ongoing networking across agency functions to identify organic social media growth opportunities within existing client base

     

    TEAM & TALENT

  • Support the Head of Creative Development with monthly, quarterly and annual financial planning

  • Lead on social media scope of work development across the pan-European and global client portfolio

  • Lead on monthly social media team servicing, capacity, and job reconciliations to ensure consistent profitability margins for the agency across all clients

  • Lead and build the social media team to deliver a best-in-class offering for the agency, supporting team members and championing their individual strengths

  • Deliver effective and efficient line management of social media Account Director, nurturing their career development and progression within the agency

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Recent and relevant experience developing social media brand and content strategies for global organisations across a range of sectors

  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment, using automated scheduling and reporting to manage workloads and efficiencies

  • Expert understanding how Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) work and keeps knowledge on current formats and tactics up to date and ongoing monitoring of new/up and coming platforms

  • Strong knowledge of paid social media strategy and implementation, including platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager

  • Deep knowledge and experience developing, growing and managing social media channels, including community growth, content creation and copywriting

  • Proven experience in driving award winning content ideas and executions

  • Ability to work with and direct junior team members ensuring they are clear on the expectation of their role / specific task

  • Ability to act as the first set of creative eyes on any brief

  • Integrated experience and collaboration across PR and Corporate comms

    Ability to interact with stakeholders – junior to senior, knows how to educate and convince

  • Ability to be a champion and lead social media strategy within the wider business.
