ABOUT YOU

  • At least 7+ years’ events experience, with proven experience leading large scale consumer events, and managing high performing, successful teams (internal and external)

  • Excellent project management skills, being able to manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Deep understanding of production and technical expertise required across physical and virtual events

  • Creative flair and commitment to excellence

  • Experienced in event safety planning, health and safety regulations and procedures

  • Exceptionally good networker and people manager who possess effective leadership and mentoring skills

  • Has the ability to work under pressure calmly and effectively, to tight deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a love of presenting and pitching

  • Highly effective negotiating skills

  • Able to problem solve/be reactive when required, providing innovative and creative solutions

  • Not essential, but helpful to have basic skills in InDesign/Sketch Up

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an Events specialist to join the M&C Saatchi Talk team, leading the growing event production division working with a talented team and roster of incredible brands to deliver outstanding events. You’ll be a champion of event best practice, relentlessly holding up high creative and executional standards. As the most senior member of the production team, you’ll be an advocate for the team in the wider agency, playing an active organisational role at a senior level.  

You’ll have a strong point of view on what creating great experiences looks like and a strong network of contacts across the events industry. You will work with the head of department to continuously improve processes, raise standard of output and ensure our productions are always conversation-starters. 

An engaging client handler and presenter, you’ll be adept at selling creative concepts and executions to senior clients externally and should feel comfortable pitching new business. Bringing your team with you will also be an essential part of this role, you should have excellent team management skills and a desire to upskill those around you, promoting their successes as much as your own.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with clients and agency teams to develop event activations, end to end, with a focus on creative and operations

  • Leading and managing teams on the planning and delivery of both physical and virtual events, from ideation through to delivery

  • Effectively managing clients and working as part of integrated team, to manage expectations and delivery on time and in budget

  • Large scale budget management, including sourcing and contracting third party suppliers and continuously negotiating to deliver

  • Briefing and working with creative, production and technical teams, understanding the requirements and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose

  • Onsite and virtual event delivery – UK and overseas. Sometimes working weekends and evenings as required

  • Development and management of the production team, including line management and growth development

  • Development and delivery of new business responses for existing and new clients

  • Commercial oversight of the division, ensuring projects and delivered effectively and profitably
